Self-love is simply about treating yourself with the same kindness and compassion as you would someone you love.
It's not about being selfish or putting yourself first at the cost of others. It's about being fair and becoming a more balanced person.
People who love themselves are a blessing to others too as they're much less likely to project their issues onto others.
