Jill's Story - Feeling much better about myself
I've always struggled with being able to stand still, turning red when all eyes are on me, being uncomfortable around others, and having a constant feeling of being deeply saddened.
I'm 51 years old and last year was the first year I started talking to my doctor about my overall health.
Together, we addressed the areas of my life that needed attention. We had my female health exams/procedures/bloodwork etc...
Then we addressed all my concerns and how I was feeling; scared, worried, and sad all the time.
He suggested an antidepressant, counseling, and group therapy.
I found a therapist who I talked to once a week and went to group therapy and that's where I was told by one of the members that she used the Gratitude app and it helped her feel better.
I downloaded that app and I haven't put it down since.
It gets me writing daily about what I'm grateful for and what's going on in my life.
I read affirmations almost daily and play the vision board I created.
All these create good feelings in me. It's such a rich way to start my day off right.
Together with my doctor's care, my therapist, group therapy, antidepressant, and Gratitude app - I'm feeling so much better than I was before.
I'm getting out more. I'm more comfortable around people. I'm not as worried.
I can sit still and talk to my therapist and I'm able to stay focused on things.
Very grateful for this app to be a part of my self-care routine.
