I had only ever heard that we must be grateful. I agreed, but I didn't think it was important to be grateful for small things or obvious things or that I must lookout for things to be grateful for.
In fact, I did not think it made sense to be grateful for things such as being able to wake up in the morning, or for flowers, or for a job that you actually hated. But gradually I started to learn more about gratitude.
I learned that it affects your mind and environment greatly. I learned that the more you're grateful, the more the world will give you more to be grateful for. Your mind gets 'tricked' into believing that you absolutely have an amazing life!
You see, your subconscious has no idea what's true and what's not true of the things you feed it. It just acts accordingly. The Gratitude app helps me continually feed my subconscious with gratitude and I am really grateful for it.
I am doing my best to cultivate the attitude of gratitude and I believe it will always be a part of my life! Believe me when I say I now actually like the job I once hated!
You have to start looking for things to be grateful for, e.g., you have a steady income. I love that the Gratitude app also has the affirmations section. So I also started saying positive things about my job.
As we speak, we have actually moved offices to a nicer part of the town and my office is just gorgeous! I now enjoy going to work, and progressing in the career skills I've always wanted to attain.
I feel so so blessed! This was nowhere near the case before my gratitude journey. No matter what you're going through, it's important to look around for things to be grateful for, and more will come! Be blessed!
