Jenniffer's Story - Love's a Gift of Gratitude <3

"I was given a second chance by God."

Blessings come in many forms. It may seem strange, but I am blessed through my dreams. I still have the imagination of a child. My dreams are beautiful, soul-touching, and creative.

In the past, I've taken life's beauty for granted. I felt like I wasn't where I was supposed to be in life because I always wanted to be a mom and a wife. That hasn't happened for me. It's okay; I understand that God has different plans for me.

I was given a second chance by God. He taught me something heartwarming about family.

I love my grandparents so much. My parents broke up when I was 5 years old. I was not upset in the least bit because they were constantly fighting. It was violent, abusive, and I never felt safe when they were in each other's presence.

Needless to say, I spent a lot of time with my grandparents. I lived with them on and off throughout my life. My grandparents were my rock and the definition of a good family.

They had their lives together, lived in a nice house, and they got along well. I learned what love is from them and what a couple is like in a healthy relationship.

I have always looked up to my grandma and wanted to be like her when I grew up. She was gorgeous, a wonderful wife, and a great mother.

God gave me a gift through a dream.

I was in the future, a grown woman living on my own, pondering how much I missed my grandparents because they had been gone from my life for many years.

I wished I could have just one more day with them and eat one more meal together. "Please God..." I cried, begging him! I am very fortunate because God made that happen for me.

My grandparents showed up, and we went to dinner. I told them about my life and how much I missed them. I explained that they had passed many years back and I wished they could be with me for just one more day so we could eat one more meal together.

We had a wonderful dinner, and I didn't want it to end. I love them dearly. ❣️

Then I woke up, and I started bawling my eyes out. Lying in bed, thanking God, being so grateful for my life, and thankful for being where I was.

I woke up in my bed at my grandparent's house, and both of them were downstairs, healthy and alive.

Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for being here with them. My life isn't the way I thought it would be, but it's still wonderful and a beautiful life to live. I am extremely grateful for that dream, for my grandparents, and for my life being exactly the way it is.

Thank you, God!

🙏 Amen
